Even if you’re
exercising and eating right, you may not be in control of your diabetes, and
adding medication may help. With Type 2 Diabetes, there is an insulin production
imbalance or the body’s tissues become resistant to insulin. Insulin helps
sugar (glucose) enter the cells where it is stored for energy. Many people with
Type 2 Diabetes experience no symptoms at all. However, some may have one or
more of the following symptoms:
- Repeated infections
- Skin sores that heal slowly
- Generalized tiredness
- Tingling or numbness in the hands
or feet
- Being unusually thirsty
- Having to urinate frequently
- Feeling hungry all the time
- Losing weight (without trying)
- Having blurry vision
Novartis Pharmaceuticals
